I visited a cemetery with a few friends yesterday in our lunch break. Upon arrival we noticed that many of the trees were bare, gleaming white from top to bottom. I went in for a closer inspection and became aware of the millions of little caterpillars which were swarming all over the plants and gravestones.
I went back this afternoon with my camera to get a few shots of the wonderful natural phenomenon. Caterpillars’ preparing for what is essentially rebirth by creating eerily beautiful silk structures in a graveyard, anticipating their transformation into moths. The poetry is almost too good to be true.
